How It All Started
Back in 2016, intermittent fasting was… well, not really a “thing.” But in Munich, two friends (our founders) — Matthias and Patrick — were already hooked on it. They loved how simple and effective it was, and they couldn’t believe more people weren’t doing it.
Their solution? Build an app that would make fasting super easy, motivating, and accessible for everyone. No complicated rules, no “one-size-fits-all” plans — just a friendly companion in your pocket that helps people reach their health and weight loss goals.
The Early Days
Like any good adventure, it wasn’t all smooth sailing. Tech hurdles? Plenty. Sleepless nights? Oh yes. But in December 2017, they hit “launch” — and boom! People all over the world started giving fasting a try.
Pretty quickly, BodyFast went from a simple tracker to a powerful all-in-one fasting coach.
Fast Forward to Today
We’ve now got more than 50 million downloads, users in 150+ countries, 500,000+ Instagram followers, and a Facebook community of over 600,000 members. But honestly? We still get the biggest kick out of seeing one single person share their “I feel so much better now” story.
